When our founder arrived in Mexico from South Africa more than 20 years ago, he immediately fell in love with the landscape, the culture and the people.

He found that strong family values combined with traditional production skills passed down through generations created the distinctive mezcal flavor profile.

Established in 2016, our sustainably and artisanally produced Origen Mezcal is the ultimate expression of agave-based, small-batch liquor.
